Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Art Salon

Best wishes for the season from all of us at Art Salon. We would also like to thank everyone who came to our exhibition at Wallspace gallery.

There are big plans for 2008, but at the moment we are all having a well deserved break.

There are some works of art up for sale here at artsalon1.blogspot.com - if you are interested in purchasing any of the art on display then you can e-mail artsalon1@hotmail.com.

Please visit again in the New Year to keep up to date with future events showcasing the arts.

Opening night

Looking into the gallery from the front

Tribal Blossoms doing a sword dance.

"The Bare Truth" singing

Having a good look at Nola's paintings

Long view of the gallery

Deborah's shadow dancers

Carry's paintings in the background

Friday night was our exhibition opening and it was fantastic! About 150 people turned up to enjoy the art, live entertainment and help raise funds for the Leukeamia Foundation.

Everyone was mesmorised by the Tribal Blossoms and their sword dancing and the singing by The Bare Truth in the gallery added a wonderful atmosphere. So much talent under one roof!

Deborah's wooden sculptures cast realistic shadows of dancers on the walls, while people were fascinated with;
Carry's realism in her paintings
Nola's clever use of colour and mixed mediums
Nicks drawings with their interesting subjects
Michelle's photographs with their quirky displays

Unfortunatety the art is only on display until tomorrow afternoon. Thank you to all who contributed to a great night and who came as guests to enjoy the night - much appreciated.
